about me

My first attempt at merging creativity and entrepreneurship happened around age 6.  I ‘borrowed’ plain white gravel from the neighbors driveway, painted individual rocks, and proceeded to go door to door in an attempt to sell my newest creation.  Not the most successful endeavor I’d ever embarked on, but hey…it took guts!  Now, almost 30 years later, I’m attempting another ‘merge’, this time with a newfound passion of mine…PHOTOGRAPHY. Hi I’m Jen, an Omaha-based natural light photographer, and most importantly a wife and mother of two (maybe 3 oneday?). As many, my love for photography emerged in 2006 with the birth of my daughter.  After shooting a zillion photos of her and truly liking only a handful, I splurged and got my first SLR camera a short while later.  Happier, but still not completely satisfied (using basic auto modes), I decided it was time to go deeper and learn more about manual shooting and photoshop processing.  So here I am after several months of watching tutorials, reading manuals, one FABULOUS mentoring session (thanks B~) and hundreds of shots later.  I’d like to think of my style as candid, natural and above all REAL.  I have two specific goals at this point in my venture:

1.  to create unique and modern pieces of art that tell YOUR special story

2.  to never hold my camera more than I hold my children

~I look forward to meeting and working with your family~

Jen, is it all possible for you to E mail me a copy of the photo where big sis hugs baby bro? My sisters birthday is this week and we are the same relationship in age and I think she would get a kick out of it. We had a lot of typical older sis baby bro moments growing up but we are very close now. Rewind 40 years back and substitute red hair for blond and I think the photo captures the gist of what we were.

    All the best
    Drew
